Gog and Magog Explained

Welcome to Gog and Magog

Gog and Magog in the book of Revelation relate to the structure of man's arrogance and government apart from God. This government and its often abusive financial system is permitted to rule until the end, and then the judgement will come upon all human government. In fact, when the financial system is abusive it often rules our governments.

The book of Revelation, chapter 20 says:

When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth —Gog and Magog —and to gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore. They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God’s people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. 10 And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

Notice this is not the Ezekiel interpretation of an event impacting old Israel. Their enemies came from the north. It is a symbol of the true and fulfilled revelation found in the book of Revelation but is not the same.

Gog and Magog, however, will bring battle from all over the earth, from the four corners, east, west, north and south. But this will not be in physical Israel, and it will not be a physical war. It is a financial and spiritual war led against the spiritual Jews, the few believers in Christ that are the elect. This battle is happening as of this moment, and is the last prophetic event prior to the end of the world and Christ's Second Coming.

This destroys the false teachers' ludicrous position, the Dispensationalists like Hal Lindsey and Tim LeHaye and Pat Robertson, peddling their religious books to deceive the nations. They are stuck in Ezekiel and even deceived the spiritually bankrupt Ronald Reagan, who used the reference of Gog to refer to Russia, wrongly of course. Robertson eventually settled on the lesser Russian republics in his explanation of Gog being from the north. But he is still wrong.

[Dispensationalists are also wrong regarding the descendents of Jews. The descendents of Jews who believe are one new man in Christ, both Jew and Gentile. Therefore, those Dispensationalists who would say  that God has a separate NT covenantal plan for Israel apart from the New Covenant itself are liars. If they use this false information to foment political and military activity in the middle east, they underestimate the true God. The will of the Dispensationalists will not ultimately prevail. Remember this, Israel's existence is a sign of the end times, but that nation will never be a covenantal holy nation again. That covenant of law has been rolled away by Christ's sacrifice!]

In historical writings, Josephus equated Gog and Magog for the Israelites with the Scythians. That would fulfill the prophesy of Ezekiel.

Eusebius equated Gog and Magog for the Christians as being the Roman Empire.

So, we can say that the City of London, the Square Mile, the center of world finance sees itself as the New Roman Empire, complete with the Roman ruins of Londinium. It even has Lord Mayor folklore regarding the Caesars, real silly stuff!

Gog and Magog are paraded out as Roman clad warrior statues at the Lord Mayor parade.

Gog and Magog affects Christians financially:

The purpose of the Square Mile is to drive up prices and oppress the poor. And God hates that oppression as the Bible says not many mighty or with means are called. So most Christians who are really called in election are not wealthy and are directly impacted by the Square Mile.
