Times of the Gentiles; Fullness of the Gentiles

The times of the Gentiles in Luke 21:24 is no different than the Fullness of the Gentiles in Romans 11. The Gentiles have all been redeemed, having been called for almost 2000 years.

Could a Gentile still be truly regenerated for divine repentance? I hope so. But it isn't a certainty.

Israel is only a sign in redemptive history. It is not a holy nation. But the elect Gentiles have been saved. Their fullness is completed. A multitude of them have been saved according to the book of Revelation.

The Lord now shifts to those who are descended from Jacob. These are broad and many. The offspring of Jacob span many nations throughout the world. Roman's chapter 11 speaks to that descent.

But, only a few of these will be called by His sovereign grace to become Christians.

A few thoughts.

First, the 144 thousand in the book of Revelation cannot be all Hebrews and modern Jews. After all, Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and Lot were not part of a tribe. While the 144 thousand may be literate or not, it is a group that does not have a separate path or place regarding salvation. All saved have faith in the Messiah. Hebrews 11 explains the Hebrews and their faith.

The people in Hebrews 11 had their bodies returned to them at the time of Christ's resurrection. They walked the streets of Jerusalem.

Matthew 27:

50 And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.
51 At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, the rocks split 52 and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. 53 They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and[e] went into the holy city and appeared to many people.
54 When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, “Surely he was the Son of God!”

Second, there is no need for a third temple for the sacrifice of bulls and goats. The Dispensationalism that teaches a separate path for the nation of Israel is false religion. Only the elect people with Jewish DNA or descent can be saved since the Gentiles have already all been saved. But they are not saved by a separate path. They are saved by divine election in Christ. The temple of the Lord is now the believers in Christ. There are many believers over time but few at any one time with exceptions, like after the day of Pentacost. See Acts 1 and 2.

This is not a test of faith, but I cannot see that there have been more than 1 to 10 million saints saved in the history of the world. I hope I am wrong about this and that the number is higher. But even if it were 100 million, there have been almost 100 billion people living on the earth. Most people are just lost. It is sobering to contemplate.
While most was accomplished regarding the nation of Israel's destruction in 70 AD, not all prophesy was fulfilled then. Yes, the Christians fled Judea as Christ warned they must. They went to Pella Jordan as recorded by historian Josephus. But Christ did not return in 70 AD. The elect Gentiles were not all saved by 70 AD. And the natural branches were not grafted in as we see in Rom 11. So the preterists get a few things right, like General Titus being the man of perdition. But by denying the future Second Coming they are lost. Partial preterism is true. Full preterism is spiritual death.
